A break-up is a hard thing for many guys to handle. It’s happened to me, it’s happened to you… and it’s happened to almost anyone who has been fortunate enough to fall in love. Nothing lasts forever… Your relationship was temporary… and I belive your break-up can be temporary too… if you carefully follow my advice on how to get a girlfriend back.

While you want to move on, you probably still have strong feelings for this one particular woman. And it’s ok… I’ve been in your situation too and I know exactly how it feels. But if you want to get her back, you need to become the attractive man you used to be at the begining of your relationship and the transformation proccess must start as soon as possible, before your window of opportunity closes forever.

Here are a few things you should do to get started:

1. Ignore her for a while. Stop initiating contact with her for at least 4 weeks. Stop calling, sending text messages etc. It’s about you not doing it. Well, ignoring is not actually what you should do if she contacts you. If she does, that’s perfectly fine. But make sure you act cheerful and happy, without coming across as desperate to talk with her.

2. Start having massive fun. It’s time to catch up with your old friends. Take a lot of pictures while you do so and make them your avatar pictures. Also, share them with your friends on sites like Facebook.com, Myspace.com, Hi5.com or any website that you and your ex girlfriend are members of. This will let her know how much fun you’re having since she left you and will set the stage for the final move. But under no circumstances should you view her profile! Ever! I can’t stress this enough. This is a big no no!

3. Re-initiate contact with her after 4 weeks. Tell her that you think the break-up was for the good and you don’t want to lose such a good friendship. This is the perfect opportunity to return her things (but don’t make this the reason of the meeting… she already knows it’s not).

This is usually a dead end for one reason: you can never really tell what the actual reasons behind the breakup were. That’s because, sometimes, women become so emotional and they don’t even know what led to the breakup in the first place. There are so many psychological triggers involved that, most of the time, it’s very hard to tell what makes them feel the way they do, so, in many circumstances, it’s only harmful to focus your energy on trying to figure out what went wrong.

To answer that first question, the first thing you can do is to forget about the relationship for a little while and focus your energy on something else. Go out, make friends and have fun.

Give yourself a couple of weeks to make changes in your life. Taking some time away from your ex girlfriend will work wonders.

After a few weeks, you may have a much better idea of how you’re going to deal with your past relationship.

By this time you will be able to answer questions like “Do I still love her?”, “Is it better to move on?” or “Do I still want her back?”. And act accordingly. If you decide you still want her back, it’s time to find out how she’s feeling about you.

Now you will have a chance to take action when it comes to getting your ex girlfriend back. You need a plan. Begging her to get back with with you is not a good idea since it’s not a good time to be emotional.

What you want to do instead is to play things cool… If you have spent enough time apart from her, she is probably missing you as much as you are missing her. Show her you’re doing fine without her and try playing hard to get for a while, but, without over doing it. This way, you will inspire her to rethink things.

If getting back together with your ex is ment to be, now is the right time to act. Don’t over analyze things since, doing so might prevent you from taking action the right way. Again, you want to play things cool and everything should work fine.
